Having started his legal career at Simpson Western as a law clerk in the litigation and dispute resolution team in 2017, Sam rejoined the firm after completing a Masters degree, working in a resource management litigation team at a leading national firm and, more recently, working outside the law as an urban planner within the City Centre Team at Auckland Council.
This unique set of experience has served Sam well in developing a practice aligned with his interests in a variety of contentious matters including property disputes.
Sam focuses on helping clients prevent disputes as well as assisting clients to resolve disputes when they arise. His advice is pragmatic, commercially grounded, and legally sound.
Sam has expertise in a variety of disputes including contractual, trust, insolvency, debt recovery, regulatory investigations and construction matters.
Outside of work, you can find Sam enjoying spending time with his young family, watching combat sports, and enjoying caffeinated beverages across Auckland’s finest cafes.
