Russell Weir Senior Solicitor

Russell is a senior solicitor in our business team. He has extensive experience in all facets of business law, and has advised clients across a wide range of industries on commercial transactions. 

Russell recently joined Simpson Western from a large corporate law firm based in Auckland and has previously worked in London at the Bank of England. As a result he is equally comfortable working with large corporate clients or owner/operator businesses, and always appreciates the different factors that motivate different clients.

Russell grew up in Wellington, before heading to Otago for university. Since then, he has been slowly drifting northwards, ending up in Takapuna! Outside of work, Russell enjoys travel, the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
