In three weeks, our employment law and relationship property partner Candice Murphy is embarking on a challenging 5 day trek of the Great Wall of China, raising money for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
Over five days, Candice and her mum Vivian Blake will join a group of 13 women, visiting remote and unrestored sections of the Great Wall of China, between mountains, through local villages and across rolling farmlands. The trek includes a very steep section of the wall known as Sky Ladder and also over 1,000 steps up to the Great Wall of Mutianyu.
The trek will be a huge challenge, but Candice and Vivian are excited and proud to be raising vital funds to help the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation prevent New Zealanders from developing and dying of breast cancer and to support those with the disease. It is a cause that is very personal to Candice and Vivian, since Vivian was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago.
Simpson Western is proud to be supporting Candice and the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. If you would also like to support Candice's efforts to raise money for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation, click here to make a donation.
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation is the country's leading breast cancer education, information and awareness organisation. Sadly, eight women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in NZ. It’s the most common form of cancer in women and this year alone more than 600 women will die from the disease. To find out more, visit their website.
